PORTFOLIOS/AUDITIONS
General Information
The ArtQuest Application Process includes either the submission of a Portfolio or an Audition. Please follow the specific procedures given below for your 1st Choice of Arts Specialty area. Applicants are not scheduled for an audition nor portfolios reviewed until a completed ArtQuest application has been received and processed. You will be notified of your acceptance by letter as soon as possible after a decision is made, beginning in Spring, 2009.
If you are declined acceptance for your 1st Choice Arts Specialty, you will be called to see if you wish to apply for your 2nd or alternate choice and will usually be asked to submit a portfolio or to audition for that specialty. It is required that you indicate a 2nd Choice on your application.
IMPORTANT: Questions about Portfolios or Auditions should be directed to the Arts Specialty teachers listed below for each discipline, as they can best answer them. Do not direct these questions initially to the SRHS Main Office, the AQ Administrative Assistant or Director.

Submit portfolio of images demonstrating abilities in computer software programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, 2D and/or 3D animation programs, etc. Work may be submitted in various formats, including disk, zip disk, CD, video, hard copy prints etc. Include information as to what applications were used to create the project, successful or appropriate ways to view it and the name and file format. Work should be carefully protected and identified with name, address and phone number. While there is no minimum number of works, applicants should submit their best examples in both technique and concept.
*Important Alternative: We recognize that some students may not have had much experience or opportunity to work within the medium of digital drawing or animation. In this case, the portfolio should consist of hand drawings, designs, storyboards or other visual art works, along with a clear statement about why this is the Specialty choice, even though little or no work can be shown in the specific media. This substitution may affect your acceptance.
